Reliability, Testing and Quality Control Laboratory

Reliability, Testing

Activities

  • Testing and checking sealed radioactive sources used in nuclear facilities or in the industrial process of gammagraphy (eg. 192Ir);
  • Testing equipment containing radiation sources - determination of radiation dose and unfixed contamination;
  • Testing and checking the dosimetry devices;
  • Environmental testing (damp heat, dry heat, cold, etc.) for equipment, devices, components, used in the nuclear and industrial area;
  • Testing the packages used in the transport of radioactive materials, including radioactive waste;
  • Type and production (batch) testing for devices, components and nuclear equipment;
  • Certifying products conformity (devices, equipment, installations, packages, sealed radiation sources), intended for nuclear facilities, including Cernavoda NPP;
  • Carrying-out accelerated ageing tests for nuclear materials and components;
  • Conducting research activities in the nuclear field within the R&D programs of the institute.

Certifications

  • Laboratory designated by the National Commission for Nuclear Activities Control (CNCAN) no. LI 01_LIF/2018 - for the entire testing field.

Main achievements
