Puls maxim 20000 MW, l\u0103rgime la semi\u00een\u0103l\u021bime cca 4 ms, canal central uscat \u00d8 228 x 381 mm. Utilizat pentru ob\u021binerea datelor experimentale despre mecanismele \u0219i pragul de defectare teac\u0103 \u00een condi\u021bii de puls, pentru determinarea limitelor de securitate, pentru investigarea comportarea termo-mecanic\u0103 a combustibilului nuclear \u00een condi\u021bii de tranzien\u021b\u0103 rapid\u0103.<\/li><\/ul><p>Cele dou\u0103 reactoare sunt localizate \u00eentr-o piscin\u0103 comun\u0103, cu leg\u0103tur\u0103 direct\u0103 printr-un canal de transfer cu celulele fierbin\u021bi ale LEPI (Laborator de Examinare Post-Iradiere).<\/p><p>\u00cen aceast\u0103 instala\u021bie nuclear\u0103 exist\u0103 de asemeni:<\/p><ul><li>Dispozitive tip \u201cPo\u0219t\u0103 pneumatic\u0103\u201d pentru analize prin activare cu neutroni la fiecare din cei doi reactori \u0219i \u00een coloana termic\u0103;<\/li><li>Facilita\u021bi de tip \u201cbeam tubes\u201d pentru fiecare din cei doi reactori.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>\u00cen urma procesului amplu de modernizare finalizat \u00een anul 2011, timpul de viat\u0103 al instala\u021biei nucleare TRIGA ICN a fost prelungit p\u00e2n\u0103 \u00een anul 2030.<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>Coloana termic\u0103<\/strong>\u2013 Sistem spectru standard de neutroni \u00een domeniul intermediar de energii Sigma-Sigma cu cavitate pentru iradieri, plasat \u00een piscina adiacent reactorului TRIGA SSR. TRIGA;<\/li><li>Dou\u0103 ma\u015fini de sudat TIG pentru producerea surselor \u00eenchise de radia\u0163ii nucleare;<\/li><li>Aparat pentru m\u0103surarea activit\u0103\u0163ii gamma a surselor \u00eenchise de radia\u0163ii nucleare;<\/li><li>Ma\u015fin\u0103 de frezat cu comand\u0103 numeric\u0103 pentru prepararea probelor radioactive destinate \u00eencerc\u0103rilor
