ALFRED Project Implementation

• Coordination and management of activities at national level for the realization of the ALFRED reactor and of the research, testing and qualification support installations dedicated to the
• Coordination of European and international cooperation activities for the development of LFR technology.

Activities

• Promoting LFR technology and the ALFRED project nationally and internationally;
• Coordinating the elaboration of the research, testing, qualification and realization programs of ALFRED project;
• Elaborating the documentation and coordinates the technical-economic activities necessary for the realization of the applications for authorization and financing;
• Ensuring the completion of cooperation programs within the consortia, networks or specific platforms at national and international level (CESINA, ROMATOM, FALCON, SNETP, ESNII, ENS);
• Carrying out research-development activities and support studies dedicated to LFR technology and construction of the demonstration installation.

Main achievements

• Documentation for promoting at national and international level for obtaining the financing of advanced technologies of generation IV and the ALFRED demonstrator (participation in the activities of specific European structures, position documents, supporting documentation, public consultations);
• Analyzes, studies, research reports in the field of fast lead-cooled reactors;
• Participation in European research projects in the EURATOM field;
• Contributions to the creation of technical-scientific documentation for the ALFRED reactor within the FALCON consortium (conceptual project, analyzes, studies, activity programs).
